First lesson I learnt on the West end of London learning my trade as a barber was always keep your tools as sharp as your mind. Both have to be on top of your game if you're gonna make it. I'll never forget those words from my old mentor Den "Dirty Harry" Preston. He was the best barber I ever saw. Always up at 7am and in the shop with a cuppa waiting for me. He knew all the tricks, how to get the punters through the door. Saddled up on the barber chair and back out looking as sharp as mustard. Great days!
